Thompson, who has made her home for some time with her daughter, Mrs. Wyckliff Spaulding, of Auburndale, Mass., died there yesterday afternoon. The remains will arrive here Monday afternoon and will be taken directly to the family lot in Oak Hill cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was one of the old residents of Ionia. Subsequent Publication: Tuesday May 11, 1920 The remains of Mrs. Oscar Thompson arrived last evening from Auburndale, Mass. and was met at the station by a large number of the old friends and church members of the Presbyterian church. The simple grave service was conducted by Rev. M. L. Marshall at the grave in the family lot in Oak Hill cemetery. The bearers were G. M. Phelps, N. J. Spaulding, M. M. McGeary, and Orry Waterbury. Mrs. Thompson was nearly 89 years old, and is survived by her son, Louis Thompson, and daughter, Mrs. Wycklyffe Spaulding, of Auburndale, Mass., who accompanied the remains to Ionia.
