Dec. 24, 1923 Louis Thompson Buried in Oak Hill Sunday Sunday morning a basket of roses stood in the Presbyterian church in memory of Louis Thompson, who had been a consecrated worker for the cause of Christ in the church, and by his living example helped to make the community better. For years Mr. Thompson had been in poor health, yet uncomplainingly kept up a manly courage. His body arrived Saturday evening from Boston, Mass., accompanied by his sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs., Wykliff J. Spaulding. Funeral services took place Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at Oak Hill cemetery, Rev. W. K. Spencer officiating. The pallbearers were W. Y. Templeton, Orry Waterbury, Jr. Bernerd Ely, G. W. Wilson, Lee Yates, and Judge Montgomery Webster. The cause of Mr. Thompson’s death is said to have been cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Thompson is survived by his only sister, Mrs. Spaulding at whose home he died at __ Boston. Additional Comments: Services: Sun.
