Tommy Thompson Died Saturday at City Hospital

Thomas E. Thompson, 435 Birch street, passed away at the city hospital early
Saturday morning after an illness of about three weeks, caused by a stroke.  He
had had a heart ailment for two years.  Mr. Thompson was born at Crystal, July
2, 1875 and was a farmer near Crystal and Greenville until coming to this city
14 months ago.  For a short time he lived at 420 Lewis street and recently
purchased the home on Birch street.

He married Fanny Rupp, July 19, 1909 and besides his wife he is survived by one
stepdaughter, Mrs. Beulah Studley of Carlos, Ind., one grandson and three great
grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at Ellis funeral home Monday at 2
o’clock, Rev. H.S. Ellis delivered the sermon and interment was in Crystal
cemetery.
