Mrs. Harriet Thompson was buried in the Bowne Center cemetery Sunday, June 2, 
1912.

Harriet Putnam was born at Batavia, New York, March 19, 1833 and died in Lapeer 
May 30, 1912, aged 79 years, 2 months and 11 days. She came with her father, 
Simon Putnam to Bowne township and at the age of 19 years she united in 
marriage to John Blake Thompson. To this union was born 4 sons and one 
daughter. Two sons, Ervin of Clarksville and Robert of Lapeer are left to mourn 
the loss of their mother. Her husband and two sons and the daughter preceded  
her in death.
