Last Rites for Clara L. Thompson

Mrs. Henry (Clara L.) Thompson, 75, of 10082 Baker Ave, S.E. Route 2, Alto, 
passed away at her home Wednesday, March 17. She was born in Hastings, September 
11, 1895, the daughter of Maury and Hattie (Sisson) Moore, attended Jones school 
in Irving township, and married Henry Thompson of Bowne township, September 29, 
1916 in Hastings. They were lifelong farmers on the original homestead on Baker 
Ave. She was a member of Bowne Center United Methodist Church and the WBCS of 
that church. 

She is survived by her husband henry; three sons, Frank of Freeport, Gerald of 
Lake Odessa and Willis of Grand Ledge; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 
one sister, Mrs. Floyd (Arabelle) Walters of Hastings. 

Funeral services were held on Saturday at Leonard-Osgood Funeral Home. Rev. C. 
William Martin officiated with interment in Bowne Center cemetery.
