       Excerpts from Ionia Online Obituary

              SUSAN KAY THOMPSON

Died.Friday August 11, 2023-age 74 of Ionia.
Born October 20, 1948 daughter of Stanley & Helen (Mouser)Bator in Alma,MI.
Married Warren Thompson, on June 27, 1970.
Sue was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Ionia & a member of the 
American Red Cross and Mercy Ship. Involved with the church's support of the 
Ionia Head start Program & with other missions.
Sue enjoyed gardening, crafting, & time with her grandchildren.
She enjoyed 20 years of her life at Morrison Lake.
Survived by her husband of 53 years,Warren of Ionia; children, Angela (Matt) 
Stover of Seattle, Wash., Kristin Thompson of New Braunfels, TX, & Jared (Carly) 
Thompson of Lowell; sister, Lori Vaughn of Eaton Rapids & grandchildren, Thomas 
Stover, Sadie Thompson & Harvey Thompson.
Preceded in death by her parents & brother-in-law,Larry Eldridge.
Memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Ionia at 12PM on 
Thursday, August 17, 2023.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 10AM-12PM.
Interment at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia First Presbyterian Church, or 
Friends of Jesus Missions.
