The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, August 20, 1945


Edward H. Thompson, 80, died Saturday, August 18, at 8:00 p.m. in the Ionia 
County Memorial hospital after a short illness.  Born in New York state to 
Jack and Louise Thompson, he was one of four children, none of whom is now 
living.  In 1895 Mr. Thompson was married to Mary E. Young of Ionia.

Surviving him are his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Coon of Ionia, and 
Mrs. J. L. Rogers of Big Rapids.  There are also five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Stone 
Funeral home.  Dr. Paul L. Stewart will officiate.  Interment will be in 
Highland park.
