The Portland Review, Thursday, August 16, 1945

Mrs. Inez Thornbury, 68, a well known resident of Mulliken, died at the home 
of a daughter, Mrs. Panzy McDaniel, in Midland, last week.  The remains were 
brought to Neller Funeral home here, where services were held on Saturday 
afternoon, with burial in Danby cemetery.  Rev. Mrs. B. M. Neller was in 
charge of funeral services, assisted by Rev. F. E. Densmore and Rev. E. Drell 
Allen.  Mrs. Thornbury was a member of Portland Church of the Nazarene.  
Bearers were Archie Brady, John Smith, Harold Overholt, Major Lyon, Elton 
Fenner, Joseph DeGroft.

Surviving are the daughter above mentioned; a sister, Mrs. Mae Bump, Sunfield; 
a brother, James Baldwin, Lansing, and six grandchildren.  The husband, John 
Thornbury, died about two years ago.
