The Ionia Daily Standard, Tuesday, June 20, 1899

Grace A. Thorp, the 11-years-old daughter of F. W. Thorp, of Easton, died on 
the 18th inst. after several months of painful illness that baffled the skill 
of the physicians.  A post mortem was held by Drs. E. M. and H. F. Spaulding, 
who pronounced the disease tuberculosis of the glands.  Funeral services were 
held on 20th at residence.
