Ionia Sentinel Standard-December 26, 1933

FREEMAN THORP
Funeral services for Freeman Thorp were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock 
at the Boynton funeral chapel and 2 o'clock a the West Sebewa church. Burial 
was in the Lake Odessa Cemetery.

Mr Thorp died at 7:30 Saturday evening, at his home, 610 Lawton street, 
Ionia. He was born in Jackson county 60 years ago. He was a carpenter.

Surviving are the widow; daughters, Mrs. Bertha Kneale, Mrs. Melissa Youngs, 
Mrs. Iva A. Aickens, Mrs. Alice Bradfield, Ionia; two sons, Guy Thorp, of 
Clarksville, and Max Thorp at home. He also leaves three brothers, Gillis, of 
Ionia and George and Bert of Portland.
