Rev. Ross Tracy officiated. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, Lowell. Pallbearers included her sons, Charles R. Thorpe Jr., James B. Thorpe, William B. Thorpe, Donald W. Thorpe, Richard P. Thorpe, and Gerald A. Thorpe. Mrs. Thorpe was born November 20, 1900 in Odessa township, Ionia county. She was the daughter of Anna Little and William Walker. She was employed as a dietician by Clark Memorial Home and was a member of Rebekah, past noble grand; Macabees; and Smyrna Extension Club. Mrs. Thorpe is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Patricia M. McNiel of Portland, Mrs. Constance A. Rasmussen of Greenville, Mrs. Mary L. Smith of Topeka, Kansas, Mrs. Sandra V. Webb of Holland, and Mrs. Judith K. Downs of Fayetteville, North Carolina; six sons, Charles R. Thorpe Jr. of Grand Rapids, James B. Thorpe of Greenville, William B. Thorpe of Holland, Donald W. Thorpe of Topeka, Kansas, Richard P. Thorpe of Belding, and Gerald A. Thorpe of Holland; 26 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
