Services Held Monday for George W. Thorpe

Funeral services were held at the Mapes Funeral Home in Sunfield Monday
afternoon for George W. Thorpe, 80, who passed away at his home in Ann Arbor
Friday.  Mr. Thorpe was a former resident of Sebewa township and had moved to
Ann Arbor four years ago.  Mr. and Mrs. Thorpe had observed their 50th wedding
anniversary recently.

He is survived by his wife Fannie; two daughters, Mrs. Gladah Baker of Lansing
and Mrs. Lucille Radfield, Ann Arbor; one son, Eugene of Henderson, Michigan and
seven grandchildren.

Burial was made in Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.
