Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday July 4, 1946

BERT THORPE DIED TUESDAY
Bert Thorpe, 60, life-long resident of Sebewa township, died at his farm home 
northeast of Lake Odessa, Tuesday evening, after an illness of four months. He 
is survived by the widow, Ethel, two sons, Kenneth C and Marshall I., both of 
Lake Odessa, and one grandchild; also a brother George at Portland, and several 
nieces and nephews.

Mr. Thorpe is at the Pickens chapel where services will be held Friday afternoon 
at 2, with the Rev.Fay C.Wing of Woodland officiating. Burial will be in 
Lakeside cemetery.
