Anita Regina Elisabeth Sophia Thorpe, 85, of Belding, passed away Tuesday
morning, Dec. 16, 2014, at The Fred and Leina Meijer Heart Center in Grand
Rapids.  Anita was born on Sept. 27, 1929, in Fulda, Germany, the daughter of
Fritz and Marla (Ziegenfus) Herrmann.

She was a long time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Belding, the Ladies
Aid Society, Altar Guild and the Early Bird Bible Study.  She enjoyed being a
foster grandparent for Belding Area Schools and Grattan Academy.  Anita was also
the world’s best Avon lady.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Anita is loved and survived by her children, Irene (Lloyd) Kiste of Sidney,
Phyllis (Joe) Pollock of McBride, and Jacqueline (Daryl) Childs of Belding;
grandchildren, Marcus Kiste of Greenville, Melissa Hall, Angela Pollock, all of
Grand Rapids, Philip Childs of Greenville, Elizabeth Le’Mon of Massachusetts,
and Christian Childs of Belding, and nine great-grandchildren.  She was preceded
in death by her parents, sisters, and grandson, Erik Kiste.

Funeral services will be aa a.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church,
Greenville, with Pastor Robert Wagner of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Belding,
officiating.  Private committal prayers will be in Sidney Township Cemetery,
Sidney.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at
Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.  Memorials may be given to Holy Cross
Lutheran Church Ladies Aid Society or Altar Guild.
