Portland Observer – Wednesday, 22 May 1895
Mary A. Thuma died at the home of Mrs. I. Sheets, south of town in Danby 
township on the 15th inst., lacking but one day of being 85 years of age.  
Remains were buried in Portland cemetery on Friday last, Rev. Bower 
officiating.
