LLOYD THURLBY, 44
Lloyd Eunene Thurlby, age 44 of Ionia, MI. passed away peacefully at home surrounded
by family after a long fought journey against cancer on July 16, 2018.

He was born on March 7, 1974, in Lansing, MI. the son of Thomas and Carolyn (Epps) 
Thurlby. He married Debbie (Conley) Thurlby on September 9, 1995. Lloyd worked for
19 years as a prison counselor.He was a member of the Ionia Moose lodge and Portland 
Bowling Association. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, going to the
casino and spending time with his kids.  He coached Ionia Youth Football, softball and
baseball. He also coached bowling for Ionia and Portland St. Pat's. He owned and operated 
a D. J. service called "Play'n it how ya' like it."

Surviving Lloyd are his wife Debbie of Ionia; son Brandon Thurlby of Ionia; daughter
Brianna Thurlby of Ionia; mother Carolyn Thurlby of Lansing; brother Tommy (Deb) Thurlby of
Fowler; sister Sandy (Jeremy) Cooper of Ovid-Elsie, Anna Marie Reed of Lansing.
Nephews  Craig Ritter, Kyle Ritter; nieces Samantha Conley and Gabrielle Cobley.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at the Lake Funeral hOme in Ionia on Thursday, July
19, at 11 a.m. Interment Balcom Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12-3 and 6-8 p.m.
at the funeral home. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia Community
