           MRS. SUSAN TURMAN ENDS LIFE'S STRUGGLE MONDAY
                                              __________
     GENIAL OLD LADY GOES TO HER REWARD AFTER YEARS OF SERVICE
                                              __________
   Mrs. Edward Thurman, a devoted Christian passed to her Heavenly Home Monday
evening after three weeks 
of suffering with paralysis.
   For several months Mrs. Thurman has been in feeble health, not strong enough to
attend church but ever 
thoughtful of the interests of the Church.  She has been a faithful member of the
Methodist Church of this 
village for 25 years.
  Mr. and Mrs. Turman lived on their farm west of the village until recently when
they moved to the village  
where she died. They were faithful members of the G. A. R. and W. R. C. 
   The funeral was held at the M. E. Church Wednesday afternoon.  Rev. Showerman,
the pastor, preaching 
and Mrs. Will Irwin and Miss Dorothy Leak sang.  Interment was at Lake Side.

   We wish to thank the neighbors and friends for their kindness, the I. O. O. F.
and the Aid Society for the 
flowers sent during the illness of our wife and mother.
