Mrs. Dunham officiated, speaking in tender words of the deceased and of her womanly qualities; that death is not to be feared, but rather we, who believe in this doctrine, are glad to die and join our friends the same as when they were with us on earth; that they are here to join in these last rites, even though dead. The pall bearers were S.R. Rice, D.H. Moffatt, J.C.Beattie, Chauncey Christian, and the interment was in Highland Park cemetery. Mrs. Thurston was the last of the family of children of Mrs. E. J. Golden, of South Ionia, and a lady greatly esteemed. Mr. Thurston is one of the valued employees of the Arnold shops, and to the surviving ones the sympathy of all is extended. The profusion of flowers that covered the casket was evidence that the loss is keenly felt.
