Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 8 May 1950

Mrs. Mattie Thurston of East Riverside Drive, South Ionia, died Monday morning 
at the Cook Convalescent home on Yeomans street.  She was born Feb. 3, 1876, in 
Battle Creek.  Her husband, Sidney, died 10 years ago.  They were married in 
1909 and moved here at that time.

Surviving is a sister, Dora Curry, of Phoenix, Ariz.

Services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. from Myers funeral home.  Dr. 
Paul Stewart will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
