Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 21 Sep 1942

Funeral services for Sidney Thurston, 71, who died Wednesday morning at his home 
on East Riverside Drive, South Ionia, after a serious illness of several weeks, 
were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Myers funeral home.  Rev. 
George Woolcock of the First Baptist church officiated and burial was in the 
family lot in Highland Park cemetery.  Pallbearers were Don McVeigh, Bert Fox, 
Albert VerPorter, Albert Slowinski, Richard Slowinski and Charles Schafer.
