The body was brought to the Boynton funeral chapel during the afternoon. Mr. Thwaites lived in Ionia many years and assisted his father, the late Harry Thwaites, in the milk business in Ionia. Later he moved to Lansing, where he had recently been employed by the Arctic company. He was 29 years of age. Surviving is the mother, Mrs. Ida Thwaites, of Ionia; the widow, who was Miss Gladys Read before her marriage eight years ago; brother, Howard, of Lansing, and Melvin and Frederick, of Ionia; sisters, Mrs. Helen Ellsworth, of Kalamazoo; Mrs. Jerry Burke, of Detroit, and Ida and Virginia, of Ionia. Subsequent publication: Thursday, November 6, 1930 The funeral services for Harold Thwaites, who died in Sparrow hospital Wednesday of blood poisoning, will be held from the home of his mother, Mrs. Ida Thwaites, 442 Center street, Friday at 2 o’clock. Services will be in charge of Mrs. Jessie Smith-Faude, scientist reader. The interment will take place in Highland Park cemetery.
