She had been in poor health for some time. Mrs. Tift was born near Palo, January 26, 1870, and lived in Ionia county many years. Her husband died in 1939. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jesse Galloup, two grandchildren, S/Sgt. Vern Galloup, in the armed forces in Germany, and Mrs. Otis Rice of Ionia, and two great-grandchildren, Joanna and Geraldine Rice. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the Myers funeral home. Interment will be at the Palo cemetery and the Rev. Dwight Kitch will officiate.
