F. Tillison, at Muir, Mich., December 1, 1922, aged 88 years, six months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Charles H. Tillison July 4, 1853, and settled on a farm in Easton, now owned by A. C. Haynor, later moving to Lyons, where Mr. Tillison passed away in March, 1912. To this union were born four children, Lydia E., who passed away in infancy; Ora Belle, lived to womanhood, leaving five children; two sons, W. F. Tillison, of Muir, and N. L. Tillison, of Watervliet. Catherine Tillison settled with her parents in Easton Township in 1840 and many are the interesting stories she would tell of pioneer life and its hardships. She had a remarkable memory, and took an interest in everything. This a great reader until her eyesight (unreadable) time last May. Nothing pleased her more than to meet old friends and relatives and have a good visit. And was always ready to step into the auto for a ride of one or 100 miles. She is the last of a family of six children. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tillison in early days united with the Church of Christ at Ionia, when meetings were held in a hall. Of which she remained a member until the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons, W. F. and N. E. Tillison; one step-sister Mrs. Alice Root, of Portland, a number of grand and great-grand-children, nephews and nieces. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. H. Garrard of Ionia, and were held from the Church of Christ at Muir Sunday afternoon, December 3, 1922. Bearers were her two sons, W. F. and N. E. Tillison; two nephews, Albert and Lee Haynor. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery at Ionia.
