Belding News – Friday, 13 May 1904

William H. Tillotson, who suffered a severe stroke of paralysis on Tuesday 
evening of last week, at the home of his nephew, Eugene Tillotson, in Ionia, 
died at 8:27 o’clock last Friday evening, sleeping painlessly to his eternal 
rest for the 24 hours preceding the end.  Prayer service was held at the home 
on Division Street, Ionia, where he died, Sunday morning at 9 o’clock, after 
which the remains were taken to the home of his daughter in Otisco where the 
funeral services were conducted.  Interment in Belding cemetery.  Mr. 
Tillotson was born 69 years ago last September in the state of New York and 
came to Michigan when he was 20 years of age.  The year after his arrival here 
he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Martin who departed this life ten years 
ago.  To this union two children were born, Frank and Nell, both of whom are 
living on the old farm homestead in Otisco.
