The Belding Banner, Thursday, December 19, 1907
On Friday night at eleven o’clock the grim messenger entered the home of Mr. 
and Mrs. Ray Tillotson and took from the happy home the beloved wife and 
mother.  A devoted husband and two children aged two years and six days 
respectively are thus bereft of her companionship.  

Mrs. Tillotson was twenty-two years of age and was a daughter of Matt Kohn and 
her sudden summons leaves an aching void in the hearts of all who knew her.  

The funeral was held at the M. E. church in this city, Rev. G. C. Craig 
officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the River Ridge cemetery a 
large number of friends and neighbors accompanying the body to its last 
resting place.   

Thus passes from life a young wife and mother who only a few short years ago 
was a happy bride and her many friends will mourn her sudden passage from this 
world of life and activity to the mysteries of the great beyond.
