Eugene H. Timm, 81, of rural Lyons died unexpected Friday evening in Panama City 
Beach, Fla.  Born in Caledonia Jan. 27, 1902, he was the son of Henry and 
Margaret Bruton Timm.  He attended schools in Caledonia.  He was employed by 
Consumers Power Co. for 39 years before his retirement Feb. 1, 1967 serving as 
operator at different times of the Wagar, Webber and Lyons dams.  He also 
operated Timm's Gun Shop from his residence.  He was married to the former 
Bernadette Duffy Sept. 27, 1930, in St. Andrew's Cathedral, Grand Rapids, and 
they observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1980.

He had been a member of SS Peter and Paul Church for 49 years.  He was also a 
member of Knight of Columbus Hall, SS Peter and Paul Senior Citizens, 
Capitoleers of Consumers Power Co., Lyons-Muir-Pewamo Golden Years Club, Ionia 
Senior Citizens, and the Snowbirds Club of Panama City Beach, Fla.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Charles of Lansing and Michael of LaMesa, 
Calif. one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Virginia) Bullis of Muir; 13 grandchildren 
and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John (Genevieve) Drury of Livonia 
and Margaret McClatchie of Detroit.

Funeral mass will be Wednesday at 11 am from SS Peter and Paul Church, the Rev. 
Louis LeSarge officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Ionia.  
Scriptural rosary service will be held Tuesday at 7 pm at the Leddick Funeral 
Home, followed by  a Knights of Columbus rosary.  The family will be at the 
funeral home Tuesday from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm.  A memorial for SS Peter and 
Paul school  has been established in the care of the funeral home.
