TIMMERMAN, GEORGE E.:
   IONIA SENTINEL STANDARD, MI, Mon., 11-24-1969, p 2:  "DEATHS - GEORGE E.
TIMMERMAN, 66, known as Ed, of 2638 North State road, died early Sunday morning
at St Mary's hospital in Grand Rapids.  He had been a patient since November 6.
   Born in Hamilton, February 11, 1903, he was the son of Herman and Johanna
Oldebeking Timmerman.  He moved with the family to Greenville at the age of 15
and in 1929 came to Ionia where he worked for Dunsmore Dairy before purchasing
his present farm home.
   August 23, 1937 he married Erma Terry in Bryon, Ohio, and she survives as
does a daughter, Mrs Gordon Moehring of Greenville, and a brother, Marvin
Timmerman of Middleville; three sisters all of Grand Rapids, Mrs Ralph DeVries,
Mrs Derwin Slager and Mrs John Hulst.
   He was a member of the First United Methodist church and former member of the
Banner grange.
   Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 pm at Boynton-Leddick funeral home. 
Rev Harold A. Jayne of Okemos will officiate and interment will be at Forest
Home cemetery at Greenville.
   A memorial has been established for First United Methodist church."
