Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 26 Apr 1957

Charlie J. Tingley, 79, died in Ionia Thursday evening after a lengthy illness.
 He was born September 7, 1877 in Orleans township the son of Lemuel and Mary
Tingley.  He spent his lifetime in Ionia county and pursued the occupation of a
farmer.

He is survived by five brothers, Sidney G. and Arthur of Ionia, Ora and Henry A.
of Orleans township and Ruben R. of Alpena; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Donaldson of
Huntington, West Va.  Another sister, Lydia Belknap, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the
Stone-Kauffman funeral home.  The Rev. Heath T. Goodwin will officiate and
burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
