Mrs. Lemuel Tingley, 81, died at the home of her son, Arthur, 48 Lovell Place,
Wednesday evening, after an illness of four weeks with heart trouble.  She was
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Groff and was born September 22, 1854 in
Ohio.  At the age of 11 the family moved to Ionia county where she has lived
since.  At the age of seventeen she married Lemuel Tingley, a farmer in Ionia
county.  Mr. Tingley is still living and is 93 years old.

Surviving is her husband, Lemuel, four sons, Charles J., of Orleans; Sidney, of
Orleans; Arthur, of Ionia, and Henry, of Orleans; two daughters, Mrs. Frank
Belknap, of Farwell; Mrs. Harold Donaldson, of Huntington, West Virginia;
twenty-six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, April 18, at 2 o’clock from
the Stone funeral home.  Rev. Paul Stewart will officiate, interment at the
Highland Park cemetery.
