Tingley, 12 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ora L. Tingley, of Orleans township, died early Wednesday morning at the Ionia Community hospital from second and third degree burns which he received from an oil stove at his home about 5:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. He had been an invalid since he was two years old. Born May 6, 1930, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ora L. Tingley; six sisters, Mrs. Vincent Jesko of Orleans, Mrs. Lester Bowen of Saranac, Virginia, Arlene, Marian, at home; three brothers, Ora L. Tingley, jr., Lemuel and Robert all at home; a foster brother, Marvin Wood of Orleans and a foster sister, Mrs. Harold Childs of Easton; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Adrian, of Alpena. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Stone funeral home. Rev. C. A. Brady of the Church of Christ will officiate and burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
