He was born in Barry county March 19, 1892 and spent his early life in the Lake Odessa area. For 12 years he lived in Anchorage, Alaska, and the past 10 years had farmed at Macks Creek, Mo. He became ill about five weeks ago and came to the home of his brother in Grand Ledge and was transferred to Ann Arbor. He was the son of Ezra and Ida Knapp Tischer. Surviving are three sisters, Ruth and Audrey Tischer, and Mrs. Della Engle of Grand Rapids, five brothers, Charles Tischer of Mulliken, Ira of Sunfield, Ernest and George of Grand Ledge and Glen of Benton Harbor. Funeral service will be at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Luther Brokaw, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside cemetery.
