Dec. 25, 1975 Harold Tischer Dies at Florida Harold A. Tischer, 64, of Imperial Harbor, Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away suddenly late Saturday night at his home. He was born in Campbell township October 25, 1911 the son of Alga and Maude (Benedict) Tischer. He attended the Woodland High School and was employed by Oldsmobile in Lansing from 1927 to 1941. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the European theatre from 1941 to 1946. Following his discharge he purchased the Reiser Lumber company at Lake Odessa in 1947 and sold the business to M. A. Klein in 1969, when he retired. He maintained a summer home at Luther and a winter home at Bonita Springs, Florida. Mr. Tischer married Phebe Bush May 20, 1955 at the LeValley United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dale (Bonnie) Brock of lake Odessa; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Iris) Lapo of Mesa, Arizona; and a niece Mrs. Ronald (Marilyn) Houseman of Encino, California. Mr. Tischer reposes at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 o'clock. Rev. Howard Vugteveen will officiate with burial in lakeside Cemetery.
