JESSE TISCHER DIED FRIDAY
Jesse E. Tischer 58, of Lansing died unexpectedly Friday evening. He was employed as
power house engineer at Motor Wheel Plant No. 2 for 30 years and was stricken in a 
parking lot and was dead on arrival at the hospital.

He was the son of Ezra and Ida Tischer and spent his early life in this area and had
been a resident of Lansing for 40 years. Mr. Tischer was a Priest at the reorganize Church
of Christ of latter Day Saints.

Surviving are his wife Gladys; 3 sons Donald J, Robert E. and Richard D., all of
Lansing; seven brothers, Fred of Missouri, Clair of Washington, George, Ira and Charles of
Grand Ledge, Ernest of Chesaning and Glenn of Oregon; three sisters, Mrs. Della Engle,
Miss Audrey Tischer and Mrs. Margaret Leazenby all fo Grand Rapids and 19 grand
children.Funeral services were held Tuesday a 1 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home in
Lansing with burial in lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa. Elder Perry Mair officiated.
