GARC TISCHER BURIED HERE

Garc Tischer, 65, died at Sparrow hospital, Lansing, Friday afternoon following 
a long period of ill health. He was born in Galion, Ohio, but came to Michigan 
with his parents when a small child residing on a farm west and south of Lake 
Odessa. About 18 years ago the family moved to Lansing and Mr.Tischer had been 
employed by the John Bean Company there for about four years.

Surviving are his widow, Sarah, three sons, Gerald in Lake Odessa, Kenneth at 
Grand Ledge, and Hollis at Bath, a daughter Mrs.Galen Phelps in Lansing, four 
brothers, Ira, Alga, Henry, Lake Odessa and Frank in Lansing; two sisters 
Mrs.Phoebe Mote in Hastings, and Mrs.Laura Short in Lake Odessa and 12 
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Lansing, Monday afternoon, with burial in Lakeside 
cemetery here. The bearers were six nephews, Harold, Hillis and Jesse Tischer, 
Walter, Charles and Ray Wieland.
