Hazel A. Doty Tischler, 86, of Belding, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007, at 
Metron of Belding Nursing Home.  She was born April 16, 1921, near Ionia, the 
daughter of Allen and Bessie Bell Doty.

She graduated from Belding High School and later attended Anderson College in 
Anderson, Ind.  In earlier years she worked at the Belding Basket Factory.  She 
was a past member of First Church of God in Belding.  

She was married to John Tischler, who preceded her in death in 1994.  Hazel was 
also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Alvin Doty, Ernest 
Doty and Raymond Doty.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Merlin and Patti Tischler of 
St. Petersburg, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jodi Lynn, Mary Jo, Sunny, Matthew; 
six great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and longtime friends in the 
Belding area.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 
Belding, with the Rev. Bruce Wright officiating.  Interment will follow in 
River Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral 
home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Metron of 
Belding Activities Fund.
