His family name was Holt but he was taken into the home of Oliver Toan and his sisters Nancy and Jane Toan who lived on the Robert Toan homestead, one miles east of Maple corners, and was raised by them. He went to Duluth about forty years ago and has been in the plumbing business there since. He is survived by his wife; one son, two brothers in Detroit, and one sister, Mrs. Florence DeCamp, of Lansing.
