Stuart Todd, aged 78, son of Leota and John R. Todd, died April 6, 2005 at his home in Mexico. He was born in 1927 and came to Ionia with his family in 1929. He graduated from IHS in 1944 and joined the US Army Signal Corps. He graduated from the University of Michigan with an Architectural Degree. He opened his own firm in Dallas, Texas and specialized in the design and construction of funeral homes, gaining national recognition. Upon retirement, he moved to Aijijic, Jalisco, Mexico and became active in the artistic community and worked locally as an architect for new and remodeled homes. His parents and his brother, Robert Todd, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Todd, his children, Tamara Rigby, Duncan Todd, Niles Todd, their children, his step-children and their children, his sister, Janet Rice, his brother Donald Todd, sister-in-law, Marilyn Todd and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A family memorial service is pending in Aijijic, Jalisco, Mexico, where he is interred.
