Todd, 81, died last Saturday, February 16, at her farm home near Carson City. Mrs. Todd was born in Ionia January 24, 1854, the daughter of John C. and Harriet Blanchard. In December, 1876, she was married to Albinus L. Todd, who was at that time superintendent of the Ionia high school. The greater part of her life has been spent on the farm in Gratiot county near North Shade where she went with her husband in 1881, from Berrien county, where Mr. and Mrs. Todd had moved from Ionia and settled on a farm not long after their marriage. For the past 50 years she has been active in civic and church circles in the community where the splendid 400-acre Todd farm was located. Surviving her are her son, Valois, a grandson Paul E. Todd, and a great- granddaughter Mary Louise Todd, one sister, Mrs. Lucia A. Vosper, of Ionia, and one brother, James C. Blanchard. Funeral services will be conducted at the homestead, now the home of her son Valois, where she died, at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be at Highland Park cemetery.
