Meryl E. Todd, 85, died Monday in Lansing.  He was born in Portland on Dec. 22,
1906, the son of Floyd and Reva Cooley Todd.  He retired from TRW after 15 years
as an employee.  He was a member of the Portland United Methodist Church and a
life member of the Portland Lodge 31 F & AM.

He is survived by his wife Alice; two daughters, Judith Bills of Jackson and
Mary Patrick of Shepherd; his son James Todd of Portland; eight grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Neller Chapel from 2 p.m. to 4
p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.  Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday at the Portland United Methodist Church, 310 E. Bridge St., with the
Rev. Stanley Finkbeiner officiating.  Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery. 
Memorials have been established for the Portland United Methodist Church, in
care of the funeral home.
