The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, April 3, 2007
Mary Jo Tomac, age 53, passed away March 31, 2007 as a result of a tragic car 
accident. Born in Owosso, her mainstay was Carson City and later Ionia. Mary 
Jo was known for her warm hearted ways with childcare and life in general. She 
had a giving nature and was always there for anyone in need.

She was the loving mother of her children and their families: Russ and Michele 
Cunningham with daughters McKenna and Madison, Bart and Wendy Cunningham with 
children Josh and Hunter, and Angela and Rachel Lower. She was the fiancé of 
Pat Roberts. She was the daughter of Flora Marie (McPherson) Tomac and the 
late Steve Tomac. She is also survived by her siblings: John Tomac, Steve 
Tomac, Danny Tomac, Mari Beukema, Mikky Tomac, and Randy Tomac and their 
families. She loved and was loved by many.

On Wednesday, April 4th, 2007 at Christ United in Dewitt (on the corner of 
Webb and old 27) from 3 - 8 p.m. the family will host a celebration of her 
life. Everyone who knew her is welcome to attend. Because Mary Jo brightened 
the lives of so many people, the family requests that you wear brightly 
colored attire.
