February 24, 1977 Services Held for Area Resident Albert B. Tomlian, 92 of 450 Fourth Avenue, Lake Odessa, passed away Monday evening at the Ionia Manor where he had been a patient for two years. He was born August 10, 1884, the son of Michall and Mary (Vardon) Tomlian in Czechoslavakia and came to the United States in 1902 when he was 18 years old. Mr. Tomlian was employed by the Packard Motor company in Detroit for 35 years when in 1943 moved to Mason where he resided for 20 years before moving to Lake Odessa three and a half years ago. He was a Scout Master for 35 years while he resided in Detroit. He married Bessie Sloop December 22, 1917 and she passed in March of 1976. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs Marian Gillette of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Gretta Cox of Fouke, Ark., Mrs Lucille Kopitz and Mrs Martha Skylowiez both of Detroit, Mrs.Suzanna Cowan of Camp LeJuene, N.Carolina and Mrs.Dorothy Eindere; six sons, John of Lansing, Norman of South Australia, James of Mary Esther, Fla., Frank of Warren, Thomas of Mt.Clements and Jerome of Gladwin; 47 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Paul and John in Czechoslavakia. Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday at 11 o'clock at St.Edwards Church, Lake Odessa with Fr. Charles Dautremont officiating with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
