The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 12, 1921

Harold James Tompkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Tompkins, died at the home in 
Ionia township Friday night.  The cause of death was scarlet fever.  Burial 
took place in the Tuttle cemetery Saturday afternoon.
