He was born February 11, 1919 in Belding, the son of Bert and Mable Edmonds Tooley. Bud graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1936. He proudly served his country during World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp. Bud was married on Nov. 11, 1938 in Belding to Maxine Johnson. For a number of years Bud and Maxine owned Tooley’s PX at Long Lake. Bud later sold automobiles for Breimayer Chevrolet in Belding for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He was a life member of American Legion Post 203 of Belding. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, on July 10, 2002; his parents; and sister, Beatrice Rich. He is survived by his daughter, Suella Tooley of Belding. In keeping with Bud’s wishes, private graveside services will take place at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding, with Pastor Daryl Britton officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral services were entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
