Lake Odessa Wave, 20 Mar 1930

Emma Torpy Passed Away Friday

After months of illness from cancer, Emma Torpy passed away at her home 
northeast of Lake Odessa.  Miss Torpy was a familiar figure on our streets.  
She was a member of the Sebewa Baptist church and of the local W.C.T.U.  She 
was a subscriber to The Wave-Times many years, always being very prompt with 
her subscription.

She loved to take flowers, of which she had many every summer, to the ?? and to 
her friends.  She lived a simple trustful life.
