Unidentified Publication, 1913

Sybil Davis was born in East Greenwich, R.I. July 15, 1825 and died in Sebewa,
Feb. 20, 1913.  In 1852 she was united in marriage to Willis J. Torpy who died
Jan. 23, 1905.  To this union nine children were born, five of whom are living,
namely – Lewis of Saranac, Willis of Brighton, Anson, Emma and Joel at home. 
She leaves also to mourn her loss seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren
and a host of friends.
Mrs. Torpy was converted to Christ more than 60 years ago and has been a member
of the Sebewa Baptist church for 51 years.  She was a loving mother and a true
friend to all who knew her.  The funeral was held Sunday at the Sebewa Baptist
