Gone To Their Reward

Willis J. Torpy died at his house in Sebewa, January 23rd, 1905, a the age of 74 
years, 11 months and 13 days.

Mr. Torpy was born in Bergen, N.Y. He moved from Bergan, to Yates, Orleans 
county when 13 years of age. When (??) years old her moved to Royalton, N.Y., 
where he married Sybil Davis, his present wife. To this union nine children were 
born, of which five are living.

In 1854 he moved with his family to Livingston County, Mich. Five years later he 
moved onto a farm in Sunfield township, which was then a dense forest. In 1867 
he moved to another farm to Ionia county where he resided until his death.

Funeral services were conducted from the house Wednesday by the Rev. O. Lash.
