George came to the U.S. as a teenager from England after settling in Ohio where he was married to Catherine Himberger before they settled in Michigan. She preceded him in death seven years prior to his death. There were six son and three daughters born into this union, they are: Mrs. Louis McComb of Vickeryville, John of Grand Rapids, William of Detroit, Mrs. Rose Ryan of Detroit, George who passed away many years ago, Barney of Stanton, Ira of Ionia, Mrs. Elizabeth Steele of Belding, Fred of Indiana. There were also 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the Peoples church in Evergreen township, Montcalm county with burial in Evergreen cemetery. Until their health began to suffer Mr. and Mrs. Tow lived on and worked a farm in Montcalm County.
