Funeral services were held at Fitzjohn Funeral home Saturday afternoon for Mrs. 
Leo Tower who passed away at her home Wednesday morning.  Rev. Frank Gillett 
officiated at the last rites and the burial was in Otisco cemetery beside her 
husband who passed away two years ago.  Honorary pall bearers were John 
McNaughton, Allen Tuttle, Elmer Harrington and Lyle Bush.  Acting pall bearers 
were Carroll Slayton, Glen Wortley, James Thomas, Lyle Simmons, Adair Simmons 
and Jack Mehney.

Her son Richard arrived from Tucson, Ariz., and is spending the week or more at 
the home.  His aunt, Mrs. Fern Bennett of Eaton Rapids is also here for a 
couple of weeks.  Richard’s aunt, Mrs. Emma Richer and daughter, Mrs. Thelma 
Mooney and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Nina McDonald and son Edward Fradenburg, all 
of Flint, remained over the weekend with him at the home.  Others who attended 
the funeral from out of the city came from Clare, Rosebush, Smyrna, Grand 
Rapids, Lakeview, Holly, Diamondale and Traverse City.
