Although he had not been well for a long time he had worked at the Process Equipment Engineers until the day he became ill, ten days before his death. Mr. Tower was the son of Benedict and Victoria Tower and was born in Otisco township, July 29, 1879. He was engaged in farming before coming to this city 29 years ago where he had worked in the various industries. He was married to Elizabeth Bennett in Lakeview, June 16, 1918 and leaves besides his wife, one son Richard and two grandsons of Tucson, Arizona. His only other survivor is a niece, Mildred Condon Tucker of Grand Rapids. He was a member of Belding Lodge, No. 355. F.&A.M. and also the Gleaners. Funeral services were conducted at Fitzjohn funeral home on Tuesday at 2:30 with Rev. H.S. Ellis officiating and interment was in Otisco cemetery where Belding Masonic Lodge was in charge of the graveside service. Acting as pallbearers were Jack Mehney, Adair Simmons, Lee Luscombe, Carroll Slayton, Don Cornell, Lyle Bush, and honorary bearers were Glenn E. Wortley, John MacNaughton, Laurence Hodge, Clifford Pangborn, Allen Tuttle and Ray Tillotson.
