Ionia Sentinel - 30 July 1979
Edna G. Tower, 67, of 348 Elm St., Portland died Sunday at a Lansing hspital.  
She was born May 10, 1912 in St. Ignace, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Gasper 
Massaway.  Her husband Elton, preceded her in death in 1977.  Mrs. Tower was a 
member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elaine (James) Given of Lansing three 
grandchildren; one brother, David Massaway of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Al 
(Irene) Vallier of Paw Paw, and Mrs. Ralph (Vern) Liddle of Brighton.  Rosary 
service will be held Tuesday at 8 pm from the Neller Funeral Home in Portland.  
Funeral mass will be said at 1 pm Wednesday from St. Patricks'Church in Portland 
with Rev. Donald Weber officiating.  Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.
